Our clients wanted something special.
They had heard about our stainless steel pools from a friend and decided they needed to know more to find out what the all fuss was about.
“Why a stainless steel pool? What do they look like?”
My response was, “Come and have a look for yourselves. They’re stunning!”
All of my clients have previously owned tiled or concrete pools, and most agree just how much maintenance and cost it requires to keep the water clean and clear.
As this setting was high on a hill overlooking Maraetai, their location wasn’t on town water supply, and the property was only used on weekends and holidays, the pool needed to be self-sustainable.
I informed them that not only would they never have to clean the pool, or worry about the water level, they wouldn’t have to worry about chemicals either because it’d be fresh, crystal clear drinking water they’d be swimming in. They wouldn’t have to do a thing to maintain it!
For those reasons, my clients loved the sound of our stainless-steel solution and gave us the green light to go ahead with the build and installation.
Once the pool was completed, I passed the client his remote and said, “Push this button and have a look at your new pool.”
His family’s expression said it all… Wow!
When the cover rolls back on one our stainless-steel pools and the sun hits the water, it truly is a spectacle that is unmatched by anything else on the market.
Their Maraetai pool has huge 3 sided seats around the perimeter making it an entertainers dream. It allows kids to really enjoy safe swimming, whilst a deep end also provides quality space for adults wanting to swim, train or entertain.
The beautifully integrated, wedge wire stainless grates prevent patio water from entering the pool and allow for a flat poolside patio.
The cover pit and ballast tank are all hidden under a hinging hard wood, power assisted hatch. This is easily accessed to reach the large leaf collectors and 6mm thermal blanket.
The pool itself is all 100% Kiwi handcrafted from 316 stainless steel to suit the specifications the client desired. Every little detail, from the pressed recessed lights to the corner seat detail is beautifully welded & polished.
Turn the lights on at night and watch as the light reflects around the stainless sides, creating an incredible upward fluorescent glow.
This stainless pool is also remarkably energy efficient. This is due to the 100mm polyurethane spray foam applied around the entire perimeter, holding the pools 100,000 liters at a warm 30 degrees all year around.
Also locking all that heat in, is a 6mm fully automatic thermal blanket cover system that rolls away, hidden out of sight in less than 20 seconds. That’s the fastest cover on the market.
I’ve owned a stainless-steel pool for 10 years and still get a smile on my face every time the cover goes back. The reflecting sun is simply stunning.
